A Student Leader's Perspective on Our Temple Fair 学生干部对我校庙会发表见解

The Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s annual Temple Fair welcomed hundreds of guests from the greater international community to campus to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year. In addition to great performances from students and professionals alike, an integral piece to the event’s success was the dedicated efforts of our Student Leadership team, who ran a variety of booths featuring traditional Chinese handicrafts and games to entertain attendees.

耀中一年一度的庙会吸引了数百个来自各个国际学校的人庆祝中国新年。这次活动的成功举办除了学生们和专业人士的表演之外,还有一部分归功于我校的学生干部团队,他们摆设了各种各样极具中国特色的手工艺品和游戏摊位,给参加庙会的人带来欢乐。


Joshua Perrett, a Year 12 student at the Yew Chung International School of Beijing, introduced this year’s revamped Student Leadership system as well as his impressions of the school’s Temple Fair.

耀中十二年级学生 Joshua Perrett为我们介绍了今年学生干部团队的变化以及他对庙会的感受。

Please describe how roles and responsibilities are designated in Student Leadership this year. What is your primary role?

请描述一下学生干部的职位和职责?你在学生干部团队里扮演什么样的角色呢?


This year Student Leadership has been transformed into a portfolio-based form of management. Mr Collins, Secondary School Vice Principal, has helped to break us into different portfolios, or groups, that cover different areas of school responsibilities. For instance, the environmental group helps address environmental concerns, the events group handles event organization, etc.

今年的学生干部是小组模式。中学部副校长Collins先生给我们分成不同的小组,负责学校不同的领域。比如,环境小组负责环境问题,而组织部会负责各种活动的组织等等。

I’m a member of the media group, which facilitates communication with other groups as well as the greater YCIS Beijing community. We communicate to the rest of the school upcoming Student Leadership led events and other plans, primarily through posters, presentations at assemblies, and TVs in lobby areas.

作为宣传部的一员,我的工作是促进其他小组以及校方沟通。我们会跟进学生干部组织的活动和计划,通过海报,演讲和大厅的电视进行宣传。
